This memorandum details some of the Task Force's ongoing work throughout the crisis, including studying other political kidnappings and contingency planning. The Task Force also gathered information from other departments for analysis, such as studies on the use of police powers in other countries for comparison to Canada, studies on the effectiveness of police action, and polling information regarding public attitudes toward the crisis.
