CDFB00164. 25 November 1972. Letter from Corporal D. L. MacKinnon to S/Inspector A.M. Barr.
In several of the documents, Jean Daviault is linked to a redacted entity – seemingly another person. MacKinnon wrote of the difficulties in tying Daviault to the investigation and in locating the microfilm that Daviault sold earlier. It further illuminated Daviault's background, personality, and financial troubles. Notably, Daviault frequented the Institut Canadien Francais (I.C.F.) (French Canadian Institute) throughout the 1950s and 1960s, and was there the night before he died. When he left the club that night, Daviault shook hands with one of the club members and said that this would be the last time that they would shake hands.
