Further to the previous memo, more information on Daviault was obtained through his War Service file and the file covering his employment with the Dominion Archives. During his time in the Navy, Daviault had been charged twice for disciplinary reasons. A psychiatrist who examined him in 1944 remarked, "This man is a constitutional psychopath of the aggressive type…no amount of discipline or treatment will be of much avail." While the Legal Branch advised that there was a possible case to present to law officers if there was enough substantive proof pointing at Daviault as the culprit, Daviault had died on 19 May 1971.
