Army planners also had to think about how the HYDRA move would affect HYDRA’s users. In June 1965, P.D. Smith (Director, Royal Canadian Corps of Signals) wrote to the head of the CBNRC, confirming the arrangement of HYDRA circuits before and after the transfer to EASE. Much of CBNRC’s traffic was to be handled “off STRAD.”
