29 August 1957: "Let the Matter Ride"
This letter to the Canadian Embassy in Washington states that despite the considerable back-and-forth, Diefenbaker has decided to “let the matter ride” and not send an official reply to the Americans. For now, the Canadians are content to accept the current state of US information sharing.
