February 1958: JIC Amendments

In February 1958, the Joint Intelligence Committee (JIC) plans to create another document outlining the potential nature of a war between the Soviet Union and North America. This would include the threat of missiles and air attacks, but also “minor threats.” In meetings, the JIC discussed at length whether such a document would be possible to produce. Ultimately, they recommended to the JPC that such a document be developed.
