Part Three: Withdrawal

The four refuelling bases established in 1958 were designed to be impermanent, but the lease signed by the American government was rendered moot sooner than initially anticipated during the construction phase. As the Americans withdrew from these operations, the Canadian government was tasked with organizing the aftermath of the withdrawal. This included outfitting bases for Canadian use, and ensuring a smooth transition for each base's operations.
