1 April 1954: Message from Canadian Ambassador to the United States

The Canadian Ambassador to Washington sends many messages to Ottawa assessing the New Look policy, and stays firm in the conclusion that “even in the United States advertising cannot make something new and different out of an old product, especially when that product is national security.” Despite this, however, the Canadians continue to be concerned about the “insufficient consultation with allies.”
