Name: Quick Kick (Exercise)

Date: December, 1959

Location(s): All Air Traffic Control centres east of Winnipeg, with extensive activity in the Montreal and Goose areas.

Purpose: To realistically test and exercise the Goose and Plattsburgh tanker task forces.

Notes: Although the exercise was successfully carried out, there was initial disagreement regarding the control of civilian aircraft within the reserved airspaces. Several correspondences and meetings occurred between September and November 1959 to discuss these concerns.
