9 November 1943: Letter to Pearson Likely from Robertson

Robertson’s response to Pearson was quite delayed, and it seems to have been prompted by Robertson’s own previously-mentioned efforts to sort out Canadian telephone censorship efforts with the RCMP and the Directorate of Censorship. Robertson informed Pearson that neither the RCMP or Censorship interfered with calls from the American Legation in Ottawa. He further suggested that Pearson should very casually bring up the topic of Canadian Legation calls with American officials.
