29 November 1943: Minute Sheet

Pearson's attached this minute sheet to the previous letter, which detailed censorship of calls between the Canadian Legation in Washington and Ottawa. A telephone conversation between Mr. Rive and Mr. Allard regarding the arrival of the Gripsholm - a POW repatriation ship - in New York. The call had been cut for 15 to 20 seconds, and then re-established. It was, according to the minute sheet, an "obvious case of open censorship."
