Allan Anderson's Clandestine Service

Allan Anderson did clandestine work for the British secret service in Latin America between 1941-43. His public-facing role as a journalist for the Southam newspaper chain provided ideal cover.

Anderson later joined Canada's Department of External Affairs, and became Ambassador to Cuba and Haiti in 1959. One of his responsibilities was safeguarding Canadian interests in Cuba in the aftermath of the Revolution.
