CDWB00026: War Planning

This document confirms that the Canadian government understood that their previous emergency plans for war had been rendered obsolete by the advent of nuclear arms. The “destructive potential” of these weapons forced soldiers and officials to plan for previously unthinkable contingencies like the partial or total destruction of military headquarters in Ottawa.
