Messages from Peter Wilson to Herbert Norman with copy/cover notes from Tommy Stone to George Glazebrook, 17 October 1945
Wilson made "traces of [Japanese] individuals" held in MI6 and G2 records available to Norman by request. He also asked Norman to keep in close touch with the British officer "responsible for collection of counter-espionage intelligence in Japan," to "avoid any possible crossing of lines." Finally, he expressed advance appreciation for "any assistance" Norman could give additional British intelligence personnel who would soon arrive in Japan.
These copies of Wilson's communications with Norman were shared with External Affairs (Ottawa) via Stone at the Canadian Embassy in Washington.
