11 March 1954: A Tripartite History
R.A. MacKay, the Under-Secretary of State for the Department of External Affairs, informs Pearson of developments in writing the history of Anglo-American atomic cooperation. While the United Kingdom had previously agreed to Canada’s appeals to make the bilateral history into a tripartite project, the United States approval was only secured in March 1954. Canada successfully confirmed its sponsorship of the history and recognition for its role in nuclear cooperation.
MacKay notes, however, that "it has not yet been decided whether or not the history will be publicly released."
