This fifth and final package consists of official Government of Canada "Schuman, Thomas David" files dated after 1984-07-16. In 1985, Bezmenov reached out to the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) for assistance with issues with US border and immigration services. He required official confirmation of his Canadian identity so he could continue "lecturing and publishing [his] anti-communist books and articles in the USA," which had become his "main source of income." CSIS's last interview with Bezmenov, alias Schuman, took place in June 1990, but the file was kept open because of the "possibility that he will be called upon again."
