Webber to Commanding Officer, Ottawa Wireless Station, copies to Head of Communication Division, Department of External Affairs, CBNRC, HQ CFCS, 701 Comms Sqn, 705 Comms Sqn. Bulk of correspondence is between Alan Routledge, Foreign Office UK and P.D. Webber recommends that Alerts messages be transmitted by Telex if DND 11922 circuit and HF radio fails. Should DND 11920 fail (the White House/10 Downing Street teletype circuit), any other means available should be used to establish White House/10 Downing link.
