About the Author

Piper Hays is a Master's student at the University of Toronto, completing her research on secondary schools in the early Weimar Republic. She primarily studies social histories of Weimar Germany, but her broader research interests include political and social histories in 20th century Germany and Western Europe, Canada and the two Germanies during the Cold War, and European philhellenism/Classical reception
