Description

Memorandum from Wrinch of D Sigs to Office of the Chief of General Staff. Referencing Canadian take over of Hydra, Wrinch submits details on equipment, buildings, personnel, communications, and finances at current Hydra station in Oshawa (appendices A-E). Hydra said to be currently operating on one shift basis and current staff would need to be retained to keep the station operational. Wrinch suggests moving the station to Ottawa to simplify operations and maintenance, combining it with the Oshawa radio station. Wireless equipment to be housed in a special Ottawa receiving station, control shared with CRC.
