Note indicates the 6th transatlantic telegraph circuit has now been installed at Leitrim and has been patched through to the British Embassy in Washington on permanent basis. British now have direct connection to British Embassy in Washington and to High Commission in Ottawa. British UN rep in New York maintains connection through the Ottawa Traffic Centre, but this may come off and be routed through the British Embassy in Washington. </text>
