We anticipate having our ALVIS equipment in position
inftashingtonon 27 June, 1966*

I should fee grateful, therefore, if you would now order,
on our oenalf, one full speed telegraph circuit (66 wFU) to
link the London Traffic Centre of the Diplomatic Wireless
Service in Cornwall House, Stamford Street, S.E*1., with
the Koyal Canadian Corps of Signals Ottawa Traffic Centre
at LeitriBu
He should like this circuit to be provided oy
20 June, 1966*

FJith the agreement of Colonel Finch of the Canadian
Forces Seadquarters, Department of National Defence, Ottawa,
it is our intention to have this circuit patched at Leitrim
on to our existing Leltrlm-British Embassy Washington circuit,
so as to provide a direct London-Washington circuit*
The
date for this patch will be notified to Colonel Finch in
due course. However, this will not be before we have satis*
factorily tested the ALVIS installation between Washington
and London over an existing alternative channel.

Ottawa and Harry Parkin in the British Embassy in Washington.
