Transatlantic Telegraph Communications
Many thanks for your letter of December 17
reference HQTS 1250-36 (Sigs.2A) from which I was
glad to learn that you can undertake to switch
the Ministry of Defence/Washington Embassy channel
at O.T.C. Leitrim and later at Carp_.
2.
I have passed a copy of your letter to
Capt. Michael Hodges, O.B.E., E.N. (Retd.),
Controller of the Government Signal Service Planning
Staff, who are, inter alia, responsible for the
X'ationalisation of cable channels and for whom, to
date, we have been acting as "agents". The
G.S.S.JrES. will be writing to you shortly about the
questions you raise in your letter.
