Mr R.L. Mathews
Attache
B r i t i s h Embassy,
Y/ASHINOTON, U.S.A.

Dear "^It^,
I am going on the 42nd COMSEC course at
Cheltenham from the 8 - 1 5 Dec and wanted to
take the opportunity of visiting LTC and possibly
Hanslope and Cronborough after the course.
I will only have two days free for these visits,
Dec 16th and 17th, so I probably cannot hit all
three. Maj Jessop (my cipher and Alerts man)
will also be on the course tilth me. Could you
please arrange for us to visit your people and
see as much as possible during the time available.
If these dates are unsuitable, I could use Dec 18th,
but was planning to visit the Uar Office on that
date*
I regret I have not replied to your
recent letters on the Alerts traffic but have
been very busy with financial estimates. I have
asked Maj Jessop to go into the details with our
communications centre and he is writing to you
today.
With kindest regards,

(JB Cl*ment)
Colonel
Director, Royal Canadian Corps of Signals
