contingency planning at a restricted
session on
September 19. The discussion
will be based on the
plans of the Major NATOCommanders and appraisal
of these·plans
by the Standing Group as contained
in SGM-479-62 of August 28, 1962 (copy attached)
and on a note by the Secretary/General
on Berlin
Contingency Planning P0/62/581 of September 11,
1962 (copy attached).
In telegrams 2125 of
September 12 and 2151 of September 15 (copies
attached)
our NATODelegation has asked for
guidance for this meeting.
