"Representatives of the Government of the United States and the Government of Canada have reached agreement on the terms of a proposed agreement for the exchange of atomic information for mutual defence purposes. This proposed agreement approved by the President and signed yesterday by [ and is being submitted to the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy of the United States Congress. According to /the terms of the United States Atomic Energy Act of 1954 the proposed agreement Is to lie before the Joint Committee for a period of 30 days before it may be concluded.
