While Canada and the United States are participating in international arrangements for their mutual defense and security and making substantial and material! contribution thereto, each Government will from time to time make avsiilable to the other Government atomic information which the Government making such information available deems necessary to: (a) the development of defense plans; (b) the training of personnel in the employment of and defense against atomic weapons; and • (c) the evaluation of the capabilities of potential enemies in the employment of atomic weapons* 000067 �Document disclosed under the Access to Information Act Document divulgue en vertu de la Loi sur I'acces a I'information 2* Atomic information whieft is transferred by either Government pursuant to this Agreement shall i be used by the other Government exclusively for the preparation £nd implementation of defense plans in the mutual interests of the t*f° countries, ARTICLE II 1. All transfers of atomic ;information to Canada by the United States pursuant to this Agreement'will be made in compliance with the provisions of the United States Atomic Energy Act of \9$k and any sub- sequent applicable United States legislation. All transfers of atomic information to the United States by Canada pursuant to this Agreement will be made la compliance with tb© Atomic Energy Control Act and the Atomic Energy Regulations of l$afi8&gL2? subsequent applicable Canadian legislation and regulations* 2.
