At their 24th meeting the Vice Chiefs of Staff considered a report .from the Chairman of the Atomic Vulnerability Study Panel, and noted the progress made in the work of the Panel and the report on the city of Ottawa. The Vice Ghiefs of Staff agreed? (a) to'refer the report On the city of Ottawa and all future reports as they become available, to the JPC and the JIG for comment; (b) to authorize the JPC and the JIG to submit their comments on the reports direct to the Atomic Vulnerability Study Panel; (c) to consider future reports on Canadian cities when they were all completed and commented upon by the JPC and the JIC. 2. Consequently, I attach a copy of the report on the city of Ottawa for the information of, and comment as necessary by the JIG. The JIS has been asked t o examine the report and to prepare such comments that m a y be appropriate for consideration, if possible, at the next regular meeting. 3.
