Scott’ s question N o. 2, the M inister ofN ationalD efence has recently agreed that should the C onsconw ealth D ivision be reduced to an integ rated brigade group, the C anadian Arm y vould provide in addition to the one infantry battalion, one field am bulance at a reduced strength tailored to the field m edical needs ofthe brigade group. The C anadian contribution to the brigade groirp w ould then becom e one infantry battalion and one field am bulance. I tshould also be noted that so long as there are ary C anadian units serving in such an integrated brigade group, we shallhave to continue to provide certain C anadian detachm ents w ithin the base and com m unications zone to take care ofthe needs ofour own troops in the brigade.
