OVER CANADIAN TERRITORY WHERE THE MOVEMENT OF ATOMIC
WEAPONS IS INVOLVED.
Notes:

All S.A.C. flights carrying special weapons
are to comply with the restrictions on routing,
heights, and numbers laid down in Appendix ”B”,
Part I, Section 1.

Type of Flight

Channel of communication
and clearing authority.

Flights undertaken as part of a
routine deployment, training, or
testing programme carrying nonnuclear components and using
bases in Canada or over-flying
Canadian territory.

Service to Service.
Any
general programme of these
flights to be cleared in
advance between the Chiefs
of Air Staff, individual
movements, to be notified
to Flight Plan 48 hours
in advance to Air Force
Headquarters and marked
by some distinctive code
word or number.

Routine flights carrying nuclear
components for stockpiling, testing or training and using bases
in Canada or overflying Canadian
territory. This category covers
the case where no strike is
contemplated in the immediate
future.

Government-Government
State Department-External
Affairs for general clearance of the programme,
individual movements to be
notified by Flight Plan
48 hours in advance to
Air Force Headquarters,
the.message to be marked
with distinctive code word
or number.

Flights carrying nuclear components and engaged on strikes or
deployment for strikes using
