BRYCE Gold Telephone I understand from Miss Walls that the Prime Minister has not yet been briefed on the procedure for the use of the Gold Telephones which have recently been installed in his offices and the residence. Arrangements were made last week for the Director of Air Force Communications to give the Prime Minister an oral briefing at whatever time Mr. Deacey considered it convenient for the Prime Minister. I had understood from Mr., Deacey that the Prime Minister was aware of this, and would indicate when he wished Group Captain Bowes to give the briefing. In addition, Group Captain Bowes is in the process of preparing written instructions for the use of the Gold Telephone system, although these have not yet to my knowledge been completed.
