Dear Sirs The attached letter to National Defence relates to the matter of NATO requests to this Department for air space reservations under the jurisdiction of our air traffic control system. This was a matter about which I wrote to you recently as well as National Defence, and in view of the National Defence reply which indicates that they do not feel that they should be used as a channel of contact with NATO, I would be very grateful if you could give this matter serious consideration both from the point of view of suggesting a channel of contact and bringing the matter to the attention of the appropriate NATO authorities.
