I refer to your letter of 5 February, 1954, in
which you request that we make enquiries through our own
channels for information to enable you to prepare a
satisfactory reply to the Swedish Government.

The Chief of the Air Staff has been asked to
pursue this matter further with the Air Officer Commanding,
No.1 Air Division. It would appear, however, that some
time may elapse before an investigation is completed.
Should you feel that it is advisable to make an interim
reply to the Swedish Government, it is suggested that you
may wish to use our letter of 20 January, which contained
information previously provided by the Chief of the Air
Staff.
