Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic
Exercise Schedule for Calendar Years 1953 and 1954
1.
The Supreme Allied Commander Atlantic, in the
attached document Serial 891, dated 12 December, 1952, has forwarded his provisional exercise schedule for the calendar year
1953 and the preliminary exercise schedule for the calendar year
1954, and has requested that national authorities screen the
exercises for political implications.
2.
SACLANT has been advised that the proposed dates
and exercises are convenient to Canada and that Canadian forces
will participate in the following exercises:

the concept for Exercise Convex Flex will be forwarded at a
later date for screening by national authorities. The other
exercises mentioned in para. 2 above will take place in the
Western Atlantic off the North American seaboard.
