As you know, the Prime iinister spoke With
President Johnson last night about the ways in which
we could be helpful in Victnam. The general nature
of President Johnson’s preoccupations has been leaked
to the press and a report was carried on the CBC
news this morning to the general effect that Fresident
Johnson had askoa that Canada increase its contribution
in Indochina through the Commissions. In case there
should be any mention in the House, I have had prepared
the attached draft answer for your consideration.
