Letter No. 56

Dear Tommy:-

Thank you very much indeed for your two letters
concerning YARDIS, to Lethbridge, which have been handed on to me.
We are very grateful for the information contained therein.
As you know, we have no wish in any way to inter
fere in a matter which is purely one for the Canadian Government,
and would like to say again that we only brought this matter up as
a courtesy to a man who has been a very great help to us in our
recruiting work amongst the Jugo-slavs.
Lethbridge informs me that this man has really
been a very loyal and valuable help, and that whatever his political
persuasion may be, he is undoubtedly 100% pro-Canadian and anti
German, and we should like to put this fact on his record if and when
it should come up for further consideration.

Would you please let George see this letter as he
wrote to Lethbridge on this matter on December 8th.

Many thanks for all the trouble
Fours sincerely.
