Dear Stone
The question has now arisen of providing identity
certificates for eight men who are in Canada and whom we wish to
send to England as soon as transport facilities are available; as
these men have been seen by my colleague and are considered very
suitable for certain specialized work. Two of them are Canadian
citizens and the other six are not.

You will remember that we discussed this matter when I last saw you and I shall be glad if you would let me know exactly
what details we should send to you concerning these men to enable
your Department to issue the necessary identity certificates. At
the same time would you please let me know how many photographs
are required and whether front face or profile.

think it would be desirable for all eight of these men to be issued
similar identity papers, although I suppose the two Canadians would

you agree to this.
Furthermore, it will be necessary to obtain exit permits
for these eight men and I shall be extremely obliged if you could
use your services to this end with the Department concerned. You
mentioned to me that there would be no difficulty in this respect.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.

With kindest regards,
Yours sincerely.
