The enclosed appreciation which has been
prepared Jointly by the Staffs ©f the Flag O fficer
Atlantic C oast and the Air O fficer Commanding,
Maritime Air Command is submitted for consideration
with furth er reference to (a) above.

Although this appreciation points out
some disadvantages in providing units for the pro
posed U.K. F orce, I consider that the importance
of this mission and the prestige to be gained for
C anada far outweigh any disadvantages.
