(C,O,T.C.) Leitrim,

I have now discussed this proposal with the Late]

ested parties in Ottawa and

I

would now like to summarizt

the dicceesions which have taken place.

the fringe of this sUbject and

were only broeeht into it because Lockhart knows the

interested parties in London.

He had not received

Nevertheless he felt that

I

should deal direct with the

partiee listed below,
(2) Depertmeet of Transport (Mr, L.T. Campbell)

Aeparcetly the D.O.T. and the Met. Branch in

particular rather resented the attitude adopted by

Sir Graham Sutton In his letter of the 13th ef Aprile
They are not oppesed to the prposal that the

1964,

Bracknell-Montreal Channel should be re-routed so that
a conoiderable financial saving can be made as long

(a) the

new arrangements would give them at least

the same reliable comeunicatien as they experience

was here that

a)

plans are afoot for the transfer

(b)

the next 6 months,

the present facilities for the provision

their utmost and user departt eats are now being Called

provide their own carrier equipment when addit-

(e)

The Army state

quite
categorieally, that they are
